We have seen countless manga characters who have astonishing powers. From powers to wipe out the Universe to beat anyone with just one punch. Bleach too had such powers.

Hence, today I’m going to mention the top 10 characters with Broken Powers in Bleach. If you ask me, Orihime’s power is the most underappreciated one!

10 Characters With Broken Powers List

These are the characters (I think) have powers that is broken, or you can also say “Overpowered.”

(10) Mayuri Kurotsuchi

Keeping aside his negative character and abusive personality, Mayuri is a genius. Dude must have an IQ of over 1000. I have seldom seen him shocked or surprised in the entire series.

He also doesn’t care to die even when gravely injured. When Ishida Uryu unleashed his full power and hit him, half of lower body was gone, yet he transformed into a liquid and cured himself in only few days. If this isn’t broken power then I don’t know what is?

(9) Orihime Inoue

Hate her or love her by heart, the power she has defies all the healing techniques used in Bleach. It’s not particularly healing but accessing the past. If you’ve watched the anime you might recall the time when she create Grimmjow’s hand out of nowhere.

Her powers works for everything and everyone. We only saw her power not work for just once, and the reason was pretty obvious…The opponent was way too powerful!

(8) Jūshirō Ukitake

I know Ukitake is weak and most of the time he’s sickly. Yet, he has got the strongest spiritual pressure in all of Soul Society. But wait, there’s more! He also has a portion(Spoiler) of the Soul King within himself with which he stopped the destruction of creation…

In short he had the power pretty much equivalent to the Soul King himself. I wonder how powerful he would be if he wasn’t this sickly!

(7) Gerard Valkyrie

If there’s someone who deserves to be called the most powerful Villain (other than Yhwach), it’s none other than Gerard. He is a proud fighter who calls himself the strongest and proves it always. Each and every time.

You can say he is the Quincy equivalent of Kenpachi Zaraki. Chop his body in half, he lives, burn him, he leaves, freeze him to death, he leaves. Worse – he becomes even more stronger than before. In fact no one was able to beat this guy at his full power.

(6) Kenpachi Zaraki

Kenpachi is the hallmark of broken power system in Bleach. Dude doesn’t even die even when his body is shredded. On top of that he keeps his powers sealed with that eye-patch on his right eye.

Kenpachi is the type of Captain we would love to happily suffer continuously. Words fall short when I think about his prowess. He went against the Captains and yet won every time…

(5) Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto

Yamamoto is THE Old Man of Bleach. He has more than 1000 years of experience as a Shinigami he boasts a really broken prowess. His spiritual pressure is powerful enough to burn down the entire Soul Society, let alone the enemies.

I’m eagerly waiting for the anime to release. I really want to see him unleash his Bankai.

(4) Sōsuke Aizen

Hate him as much as you want, but he is unarguably the most sophisticated and fierce villain you’ll ever cross. Aizen is not only intelligent but also insanely powerful. He was easily able to beat various Soul Hunter when he revealed his true identity.

What’s surprising is that he was able to intimidate everyone even with sealed power. We never came to know exactly how strong and deep is his spiritual pressure. It seems to have no limit.

(3) Ichigo Kurosaki

Ichigo started as as weak character, but as the series continued, he became stronger. It’s the dedication to save the people is what made his stronger in the first place. I guess you can figure out what he became by the end of Bleach.

And as of writing this, Ichigo has some broken powers impossible to explain within few lines.

(2) Ichibē Hyōsube

The named like “Zanpakuto,” “Bankai,” was coined by Ichibe. He is the guy behind all the technical named used in and out of Soul Society. Why is his power broken? He was almost able to rob Yhwach off his name.

Robbing anyone their identity is the worst punishment for anyone. Basically that’s how shame and humiliation works. So you can say that Ichibe is an architect of naming and de-naming someone.

(1) Yhwach

There’s no one other than Yhwach to take the first place. If you have read the manga, you probably know why! this dude has access to each and every power you can think of. And by the end of the manga he become as powerful as God.

I won’t spoil you too much, but after becoming the strongest, he had not only access to see the future, but also change it beforehand. That’s really broken a power if you ask me…

These characters have, hands-down, the most ridiculous power systems in Bleach. Especially Yhwach and Inoue. I included Inoue in this list because her healing powers is out of the world.
