Demon Slayer: Mugen Train the 3rd Most Successful Movie of Japan.

Only after about 1 month of its release, Demon Slayer: Mugen Train has become 3rd most successful Movie of Japan. The official Twitter handle of Demon Slayer announced that the Movie and yet again reached an another milestone withing a very short time.

In the Tweet it said that Mugen Train has sold a total of 19,397,589 tickets for 25,917,043,800 Yen (Equivalent to $247 Million) in 39 days.

Even before the release of the movie, the reaction of the trailer was enough to say how well the series was going to perform. But, the sheer intensity of tickets being sold is enough to say that there is more to come for the Movie in the coming month.

But, the question still is that “Will Demon Slayer: Mugen Train Surpass Spirited Away?” The answer to this is in Limbo, but, on the bright side, Mugen Train is not far away from the total grossing of Spirited Away (Spirited Away earned 30.8 Billion Yen).

But, success of a movie must not be compared with how much money it has earned rather from the number of tickets it has sold. Taking for an example, Spirited Away was released in the early 2000s and back then ticket prices were low compared to now. Hence, the argument whether Spirited Away is more successful that Demon Slayer: Mugen Train must be decided comparing the number of tickets sold.

When Will Demon Slayer Season 2 Come Out?

This question is revolving around every Demon Slayer fan, that when the next Season will come. To be honest, the Movie was just released and with its terrific reception, we can only expect Season 2 at the end of 2021 or even 2022.

We must also take into account that staff of Ufotable have worked really hard and they deserve a break. But, Demon Slayer is an iconic series and the only Manga that surpassed One Piece in sales. Even Attack on Titan failed to only come closer to One Piece. Hence, Ufotable must make Demon Slayer manga into a complete Anime series similar to Fruits Basket.
