Who Dies In Naruto? All Important Character Deaths
Naruto is one of the most loved and read manga series ever. Even today after so many years of its conclusion there are people who watch new episodes of the anime. But, the question still remains. Who dies in Naruto?
How many people died in the series? Well, it’s honestly impossible to write each and every death, but in this post I’ll mention all the important deaths that changed the course of the story…
Ready? Let’s GOOO….
(14) Yahiko
Do you a similarity between Yahiko & Naruto? They look a lot similar and also have similar personality. Yahiko also had the same dream as Naruto, but the only difference is that Naruto’s dream got fulfilled but Yahiko’s didn’t
Yahiko was the leader of the original Akatsuki and tried hard to create peace in the world. But, some people like Danzo didn’t like it and decided to trap him. What happened in the end? Yahiko sacrificed his life and handed over all responsibilities to Nagato.
(13) Nagato
Nagato and Yahiko is the classical example of what happens when you have good intentions among bad people. The trio (Yahiko, Nagato, Konan) had dream to create a peaceful world devoid of “pain and suffering.”
They were doing pretty good, but situations and their life changed drastically after Yahiko died. Nagato played a major role in the War and he was also the one who destroyed Konoha.
(12) Shisui
Shisui’s death was on mysterious event. It’s said that he had the most unique Sharingan and Danzo tried hard to get a hold of it. So, he decided to hand over his eye to Itachi and then jumped into a waterfall, killing himself.
Shisui is said to be one of the strongest Uchiha ever. Even more talented than Itachi…Alas! we couldn’t see him perform in the series.
(11) Zabuza & Haku
Zabuza and Haku’s story showers some light on how even the most brutal guy can have emotions. Zabuza was infamous for his brutality and indiscriminate killing, but back in his mind he always cared for Haku.
Even in the last few seconds of his death Zabuza’s last wish was to lie beside Haku. Team 7 buried both of them and placed Zabuza’s sword on top of their grave.
(10) Konan
Do you see a pattern in every death. Every character who died an unfortunate death only dreamed to spend a normal & happy life. But, when everything was taken from them, they transformed into their worst version.
Konan too is one of them. She just wanted to have a good life with her buddies Nagato and Yahiko. Now that they were dead, she had no option to either spend the rest of her life like a coward or die fighting. She chose the latter.
(9) Obito
Obito is an absolutely tortured soul who just wanted to have a normal life with his love Rin. But, his life completely changed after Rin died. Madara took this opportunity and brainwashed him to the point that he almost single-handedly led to the final War.
But, finally, he laid to rest after sacrificing his life. Even today, Obito is respected for his wits and intelligence among Naruto fanverse.
(8) Third Hokage
Among all the Hokage in Konoha Village, the Third Hokage was one of the most respected and well-known for his unique decision skills. Among everyone, he had the strongest death-flag when the final War approached.
Fortunately, he didn’t just die a useless death. He fought hard and fulfilled his duties before laying to final rest. Even today, in Boruto, the Third Hokage is considered as one of the most loved and respected.
(7) Asuma
Asuma was not as famous a Kakashi as a teacher, but he did have a great impact on the overall series. He was the grandson of the Third Hokage and inherited the qualities too. I would say he was unfortunate to face an opponent who was far stronger than him.
Fighting alone an unknown and powerful villain proved to be fatal for him, and he died. Shikamaru promised his sensei to extract revenge from the guy who killed him.
(6) Rin
Rin’s death was one of the biggest factor that led Obito to become a villain. Obito loved Rin and after seeing that Kakashi (accidently) killed her, he became a completely different human.
I don’t think I have to explain what happened after Obito returned after many years! Everything is just connected to small but crucial events.
(5) Neji
Neji’s death was a cruel one. Not gonna lie! He tried everything he could to do his best in the war, but he was overwhelmed and finally died. What made his death so painful for us fans is the way he was impaled!
I still strongly believe that Neji was an extremely underutilized character who could have done so much better if alive. At least he would have thoroughly schooled Hanabi for her stupid acts.
(4) Kakashi
Kakashi is one of the most loved character in Naruto universe. Let alone the girl simping over him, even the boys persevered to have a look at his real face. And what could be the most dreaded thing for such a handsome and powerful Ninja? Death.
Kakashi died, but he was brought back to life by Naruto after he beat Nagato. Even after experiencing such shock, Kakashi went on to play a huge role in the War.
(3) Naruto’s Parents
It’s just because of their sacrifice that Naruto grew up to become Hokage. Unlike other characters in this list Minato and Kushina didn’t die in the battlefield. Kurama impaled both of them when he tried to kill baby Naruto.
The mental and physical torture these two experienced is out of bounds. It would have been so painful to die in front of their newborn child.
(2) Itachi
Itachi was the most mysterious character in the manga. From the beginning until his death he never revealed what his real motive was. But by the time his good deeds were known, it was too late.
Itachi worked like a Trojan Horse to destroy the Akatsuki and he was pretty successful in it!
(1) Jiraya
You know it too right? Jiraya is the most important death in Naruto series. His death literally changed the entire course of the series. He is also the one who revealed Pain’s real motive and the secret behind the 6 Paths of Pain.
Jiraya’s death is also one of the most painful death in Naruto. Almost everyone who followed the manga cried when this happened.
