Hmm, honestly tough, there’s no straight and simple answer to this question. But, if we look at how Denji feels about his life and his needs, it’s pretty evident that he is a typical teenage boy who wants to experience life a little more.

So, here’s the reason why Denji likes Makima: She is Beautiful and on top of everything Generous. She promised him everything he asked for in an instant and also hugged him the moment he demanded for it!
Other than these few factors there’s basically nothing special in Makima. Heck, if you ask me Power is better than her even though she is not as “power”ful as Makima…

Denji always thought Makima had feelings for him, but he was gravely mistaken and only learned the truth when everything was too late!
Makima never had any romantic emotion for him, she was only using Denji to fulfill her dream. If you don’t know until now, Makima is the Control Devil. And as the name signifies, she loved to control people to turn her dreams into reality.
Then what happened between them? Nothing! In the end Denji ended-up killing Makima to stop the havoc she was causing…Such a cruel ending isn’t it?
