Jujutsu Kaisen Movie Confirmed. Will Cover Prequel Story
If you recall, yesterday the Twitter account “Shonen Jump News” revealed a URL titled “jujutsukaisen-movie.jp,” and sparked speculation of Jujutsu Kaisen getting a movie.
And, within 24 hours of this revelation, the official website that was blank yesterday is now featuring Yuta Okkotsu with a trailer in TOHO Animation’s Youtube channel.
The video does not reveal much information, but, we see Gojo, Geto and the main protagonist of the prequel, Yuta Okkotsu. The movie will revolve around him. As of writing this, the video has already hit 2 Million views and still growing.
The official website has also revealed a visual poster of the upcoming movie.
There is one other thing that will raise your excitement even more higher. The studio that will animate the whole series is again MAPPA. Yes, it was MAPPA that made the juicy animation of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime series that ended with 24 episodes.
After the animation style of Jujutsu Kaisen, MAPPA has notched up the animation bar higher and gave us a look about how the future of Anime is.
The Release Date of the movie is not yet public, and many are speculating that it will either release in November 2021 or January 2022.
But, aside this, what’s satisfying is that the movie will only cover the prequel of the present world of Jujutsu Kaisen and not the Shibuya Arc. Frankly speaking, Shibuya Arc is too big for a movie.
Will the movie break Demon Slayer: Mugen Train’s world record? It will be really interesting to learn this when the movie hits theatres.
