Demon Slayer: Mugen Train Close to Making History
Demon Slayer: Mugen Train is a hot topic in Manga and Anime industry after its release in October. One day or other, we are getting at least one update regarding the Movie’s performance.
Some updates notify us about how Mugen Train quickly became a blockbuster, and some other about how it can potentially become the most successful movie in Japan’s History.
In past weeks, we got the latest update that Demon Slayer: Mugen Train has surpassed Titanic, becoming the second most successful movie only trailing behind Spirited Away.
The latest updates show that Demon Slayer: Mugen Train is only weeks before it breaks the record.
The latest updates on the total number of tickets sold shows that the movie is only 520 Million Yen ($5 Million approx) away from breaking Spirited Away’s record.
Will Mugen Train Make HISTORY?
As you read above, Mugen Train is only 520 Million Yen away from making History. Considering that the movie will now release in MX4D and 4DX and above all Christmas and New Year are near, it won’t be much of a problem.
There are many reasons why the Movie can become even more successful. First, the movie is only release in Japan and not Worldwide. There are more people waiting to watch the movie online rather than go to Theaters.
Mugen Train was released in the midst of Pandemic. This factor also played a great role in the number of tickets sold.
Even if we consider that only 1% fans avoided theaters due to the Pandemic, it’s quite a lot considering that 23,175,884 tickets were sold and earning US$ 301 Million.
That’s 231,758(approx) tickets not sold and US$ 3.01 Million(1% of US$ 301 Million) missed opportunity.
At present Demon Slayer: Mugen Train needs only US$ 5 Million to break Spirited Away’s record. This missed US$ 3.01 Million, if earned, could have pushed the Movie forward.
After the movie is lifted from Movie Screens, we will also have to consider the DVD sales that will follow. Hence, it’s safe to say that the total revenue of Demon Slayer: Mugen Train will be far more than expected.
Well! for us non-Japan citizens, we’ll have to wait for Worldwide release.
