10 Naruto Characters With Most Wasted Potential
Naruto series has countless immensely powerful characters. While most of them have their own capabilities, there are some whose powers were ignored. Either because Naruto creator (Kishimoto) thought the characters weren’t good enough, or he was just lazy to give them a push!
Well, the reason could be anything. Hence, in this post, I’ll talk about the Top 10 Naruto Characters with Most Wasted Potential.
(10) Choji
The trio Inu-Shika-Cho is considered one of the best when they are synced together. Of course all the three shinobi are individually strong, it’s sad & surprising at the same time to see how Choji got the least attention among the three.
While Ino played a major role in the last Ninja War, Shikamaru, as you already know, went on the become Naruto’s right hand man…In Boruto Shikamaru is literally the brain of Konoha. Just like his dad…Unfortunately, Choji was the only one who was left behind, and rather decided to live a normal life…
(9) Kiba
Kiba’s group is considered as the weakest among all! Hinata was weak back in the day, Shino is methodical, but slow, and Kiba is almost nothing without his dog. In this case too, Hinata went on to become quite powerful, Shino is presently a teacher, but, sadly Kiba still, sometime thinks of becoming the next Hokage!
It’s not that Kiba is weak, but he never got the chance to shine! Hence, you can say that Kiba’s talent was wasted in the manga…
(8) Kurenai
To be frank, Kurenai was never considered an important character in Naruto. She got most of her attention because of Azuma. Yes, you can say that she & Azuma fought Itachi, but was completely overwhelmed…
She almost completely disappeared after her pregnancy & Azuma’s death. She is definitely a wasted potential!
(7) Sakura
Sakura is arguably the most hated character in Naruto series. Especially the young Sakura was hated even more! Well, for some reason I have a strong feeling that her true power was never presented in the manga. Of course, she fought pretty well in the Ninja War, but when you compare how her comrade(Naruto & Sasuke) got the powerbump, Sakura stands no chance!
Fortunately, in Boruto, Sakura has become better than before. What’s your view on this? Do let me know!
(6) Tenten
You can say that the entire group was mistreated. Non of them got the reputation they deserved! I guess you already know that weakest in the pack is Tenten. Now that I try to recall her influence in the Ninja War, it was just minimal!
Sadly, even in Boruto, most of the time she is seen either in stress or subtly frustrated because of low profit business! I hope she gets at least some good treatment!
(5) Shizune
Shizune’s is one of the luckiest person in Naruto if you ask me! She stayed with Tsunade for years and, sort of, stayed the right-hand woman for her…But in the entire series did she even see her performing well? Never! Even when the Akatsuki members arrived to wipe out Konoha, she could do nothing!
Many fans (me too) believe that Kishimoto intentionally suppressed her influence so that Sakura could make her place. And I guess that was a good decision! What’s even more sad is that she has almost completely disappeared in Boruto. I cannot recall a moment when she was shown in either the manga or anime.
(4) Rock Lee
I believe you feel the same as me! Rock Lee was terribly mistreated in Naruto. The only time we saw him go all out was during the chunin exam, against Gaara. After that he never unleashed his strength!
And you can see the reason why he didn’t get any opportunity…So that Guy can!
I won’t be surprised if Rock Lee did the same thing in Boruto’s final war what Guy did in Naruto. I wonder how powerful he would be now!
(3) Neji
Damn, Neji is was too powerful for someone who got cursed. But, what happened in the end? He just died and we couldn’t even see what he was really capably of when serious!
Many Naruto fans also speculate that Kishimoto killed-off Neji so that he wouldn’t marry Hinata. Which I don’t think is the reason! What about you?
(2) Shisui
The GOAT of the series, Shisui was too powerful to be alive! He was only shown few times in flashback and the mayhem he created was immeasurable! And it’s also a rule of thumb in manga. When a character is too overpowered, he won’t be alive for long!
It’s said that Shisui was way more powerful & intelligent than Itachi, who is considered GOD by most fans!
(1) Itachi (His prowess was abused)
If there’s one character who was horribly abused for his powers, it’s none other than Itachi! As I said in the above section, Itachi & Shisui were powerful enough to wipe out the entire Shinobi establishment! Can you just imagine what would happen if Itachi didn’t receive the order to wipe out his own clan?
Well, I guess the war simply wouldn’t happen so fiercely! All his life he was humiliated & cursed by everyone for being a traitor, but only few of them the real truth!
