Devil Fruits in One Piece is the most intriguing subjects and there’s no end to it! What’s more interesting is that each and every Devil Fruit is unique, and the no copy of it. Also the Devil Fruit, as you already know, provides the user with special (magical) prowess!
In this post I’ll list down 10+ Strongest Non-Devil Fruit Characters In One Piece. You may have rough idea of some of the names, but can you guess each one?

(12) The Red Scabbards
None of the Red Scabbards have Devil Fruit Powers. All of them are Samurai and have insane swordsman skill. You can say that they have developed the powers of Devil Fruit within themselves just by sheer training and hard work.
Needless to say, the Red Scabbards are powerful enough to cut Kaido’s skin. That means this group, when they attack together, are as powerful as Oden.
(11) Jinbei
Jinbei is not just strong but also one of the most loved character in the series. Fish-men are naturally more stronger than humans, and if you add having an expertise in Fishman Karate, then Jinbei probably becomes the strongest Fishman.
Jinbei has no Devil Fruit abilities and most of his powers come from his years of training and experience as a Pirate. You cannot forget that at one time Jinbei was one of the 4 Emperors of the Sea (Yonko).
(10) Garp
Garp and Sengoku were the two unstoppable force back in the day. If you directly compare Sengoku and Garp then Garp is more powerful than him. Garp has no Devil Fruit powers yet he was powerful enough to bring down Rocks Pirates.
No wonder how both Dragon and Luffy are strong. There must be a reason why Garp never ate any Devil Fruit. I think Oda will reveal it eventually.
(9) Sanji
Majority of the Straw Hats don’t have any Devil Fruit powers. Sanji is one of them! Despite having so access to supernatural abilities, Sanji’s legs are strong enough to pierce even the strongest defense.
In fact he was strong enough to heavily injure Luffy when Germa 66 forced him to join them. Also we shouldn’t forget that Sanji’s bounty is almost same as Zoro’s.

Vista only appeared once in One Piece. He belonged to the Whitebeard Pirates and was one of the most trusted in the crew. Its said that his swords skills are at par with most swordsman in the series. He didn’t have any issue dueling against Mihawk.
Surprisingly, even Mihawk acknowledged his reputation and skills as a swordsman. I don’t whether this is a reputation, but no swordsman have any Devil Fruit powers in the manga.
(7) Zoro
How can I forget the vice-captain of the Straw Hats? Zoro promised his now deceased childhood friend Kuina that he would become the world’s strongest swordsman. After that he just left his home and never returned…
Now, after so many years, Zoro has become (especially after Wano Arc) almost as strong, if not stronger, than Mihawk. And guess what he doesn’t have any Devil Fruit ability.
(6) Mihawk
Mihawk is a legend! Damn his sword is as long as a human…Also Mihawk has raw skills like all swordsman which is powerful enough to ruin even the strongest element.
Does Mihawk have any need to consume a Devil Fruit? I don’t think so. He would become weaker after eating a Devil Fruit, but of course not stronger.
(5) Scopper Gaban
Nothing is known about Gaban’s present status. He was considered as one of the strongest men in Roger’s crew. If you can recall correctly, him and Rayleigh were confident enough to fight Oden head-on.
The image above you see is speculated to be Gaban. Unfortunately, I cannot confirm whether he is still alive. Do you know anything about him?
(4) Rayleigh
Grandpa Rayleigh is a chad. His body is in better shape than most young generation. Plus he has no Devil Fruit powers. It’s pure skill and experience!
Though indirectly, Rayleigh has played a huge role in One Piece’s story. He saved Zoro from Kizaru’s execution, Trained Luffy to become what he is today and also helped them escape from the Marines. Roger is long gone, but Rayleigh is fulfilling his dream.
(3) Edward Weevil
Now this is surprise! Edward Weevil is monstrously strong and considers himself Whitebeard’s son. The surprising thing is that he is not just talk, Weevil really is strong! Oda has intelligently kept him just like a side-character. Probably for fun.
Unlike his so-called father Whitebeard Edward Weevil doesn’t seem to have any Devil Fruit powers. Weevil is an insane brute and can barge into anything with sheer strength. This dude does deserve a spot in this list!
(2) Oden
Oden is called “Chaden” by OP community. It’s because of his carefree, yet authoritative personality. Samurai like Oden is only born once in maybe 500 years! And as you read in the “Red Scabbards” section these Samurai have no Devil Fruit powers. Every single drop of their strength comes from within.
Oden was powerful enough to cut through Kaido’s thick skin. Some also speculate that Oden would have defeated Kaido that day if Kurozumi didn’t cheat. Those old hags sure are going to hell!
(1) Shanks
Talk about the most secretive character in One Piece, it’s non other than Kaido! Literally nothing is known about this man. How powerful is he? Does he have any Devil Fruit powers? What are his intentions? Nothing! What we fans only know that Shanks will play a huge role in the final arc.
The question still is valid about the Gum-Gum Fruit. What was it doing with him? What were his intentions with the Devil Fruit? Was he going to eat or hand it over to someone else? Pheww…I’m out of words!
